A hair balsam: why you need it and how to use it

If you want to have healthy hear, we recommend washing hair with balsam or conditioner. Try co-washing, as well! Co-washing is an abbreviation for Conditioner Only washing.

This is very gentle care, which you should try if you have dry, weak, damaged hair or hair after using best curling wand. This way of washing the hair is also popular among girls with the sensitive scalp, that reacts with surfactants in shampoos.

Frequent use of shampoos leads to the fact that hair, exposed continuously to aggressive detergent components, becomes thin, weak and brittle. Shampoo flushes along with the grease and impurities and beneficial substances from the surface and the inside of the hair.

Here are my top 3 hair balms for damaged, dry, or thin hair. All I can say – is that they just work 99% of the time.

Do not forget about these steps when using hair balsam:

  • The conditioner should not contain silicones (for example, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane). Silicones penetrate in the inside of the hair, are able to create the effect of dirty hair. Besides, silicones clog the pores of the scalp.
  • Wet your hair well. Apply a large amount of balsam to hair roots and along the entire length. Massage your head with your fingers.
  • Then move your hands along the whole length of the hair, as if washing off the dirt from them. Do this carefully, so that does not damage hair.
  • Balsam should be in your hair for at least 5 minutes. Try to massage your scalp and hair all this time. Then rinse hair with plenty of cool water.

Washing your hair with a balsam is easy and pleasant! Damaged, dry hair responds very well to such care. You will like your soft, smooth, shiny hair!
